The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) are collaborating on a climate-related peace and security project aimed at supporting Norway’s work during its period as an elected member of the UN Security Council.
The aim is to generate reliable and relevant information on climate and security challenges for specific countries and regions on the agenda of the UN Security Council. The main product is a series of fact sheets on countries that are on the agenda of the Security Council.
The project hopes to stimulate a global network of researchers and decision-makers through more dialogues, and aims to establish a Nordic-Baltic network for climate, peace and security.
