World Conference on Humanitarian Studies

The International Humanitarian Studies Association (IHSA) is organizing the World Conference on Humanitarian Studies on Changing Crises and the Quest for Adequate Solutions. The conference will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 5-8 March 2016. Engaging both the academic and practitioner communities, the panel sessions at the conference address four themes:

1) humanitarian crises and development

2) conflict and humanitarianism

3) the implications of climate change for humanitarian studies

4) New partnerships; new technologies; professionalism in crisis response
